Musicthingz is a limited liability company and GST registered so you are fully covered by all New Zealand trading regulations. Don't be fooled by unreputable traders who advertise bargain prices as you may find they offer no warranty or service post sale. Purchasing goods from overseas online stores CAN be beneficial in some cases, however this route offers very limited recourse in the event of buyer dissatisfaction. We encourage local purchases and taking advantage of the full buyer protection associated with using a New Zealand retailer.
Can I feel secure ordering product(s) from Musicthingz?
This is probably the most important question you can ask due to the large amount of counterfeit goods being sold on the internet.
Purchasing online can be a risky business as there are websites springing up all the time who look genuine but do not offer buyer protection and do not possess a strong trading history. Please note we only offer genuine , parallel imported products from authorised distributors so all warranties will be honoured by their respective manufacturers.
We strive to match overseas prices (e.g. : Shure SM57 Mic - $100USD + ~$20 shipping = ~$175NZD, our price $170NZD). Be very wary of websites who overcharge for their products and do not hold honest prices compared to overseas stores.

For all courier deliveries we use NOW Couriers or Fastway Couriers.
The courier cost to deliver your order is included in the price.

Your credit card is NOT charged instantly as we manually run them through credit checks to make sure they are not fraudulent cards, which keeps our costs down so we can pass the savings on to you! Credit cards are only processed during Mon - Friday (9 - 5pm).
Estimated time of arrival?
Most items will be couriered 2-14 days from the time of purchase unless they're on backorder. In stock goods are available from the manufacturer. A small percentage of rare items will be on backorder with the manufacturer and will take longer than 13 days to be delivered. We will notify you if an item is backordered.
Warranty?
We will replace or repair Goods which are accepted to have been defective at the time of supply free of charge, provided that you notify us of the defect in sufficient detail for the Goods and the defect to be clearly identified within 7 days after delivery, and return the Goods to us at our premises where they were despatched from. Any claims not notified to us within 7 days shall be irrevocably waived. A warranty for all items sold on this website extends for a period of one year from the time of purchase. If purchased items fail to function within this period of guarantee please advise us and we will either repair or replace the item. We shall not be liable under a warranty for any defect arising from fair wear and tear, wilful damage, negligence by purchaser or postal company, abnormal working conditions, failure to follow our instructions, misuse, or any alteration or repair of the goods not authorised by us.

Price Matching with other retailers?
Most of our listed prices are able to be discounted so you can always contact us to get a better deal if our listed price is higher or equal to another retailer's listed price. We entertain all price match requests but we cannot guarantee that we will match the price in all cases. At times it is difficult to determine whether the retailer is offering a new product versus a refurbished, blemished, or discontinued product. Because of our buying power we are able to deal direct and provide the best deals in NZ. Prices for items may seem cheaper when purchased overseas but after you consider the shipping costs , customs fees , cost of power supplies (potential voltage complications) , and lack of warranty you will generally be better off purchasing locally.

Governing Law
These terms and conditions shall for all purposes be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of New Zealand as those laws are applied to contracts entered into and to be performed entirely in New Zealand, without regard to conflicts of law provisions. Any suit or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be commenced exclusively in a court of Auckland , New Zealand , and you irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

*Restrictions: Due to certain legal and health restrictions, computer software (copyright legislation mandates no returns on opened software), books, videos, opened clothing/footwear, CDs, harmonicas, internal earphones, earplugs, and microphones are exempt from this policy. Computers, DJ cartridges and styli, fog fluid, cleaning products, vintage items, demo gear, opened strings, and tubes are also exempt as are any items special ordered from a manufacturer for a specific customer.
